This shed is modeled after one at the North House Folk School in Grand Marais, Minnesota. It uses a king-post, ridge beam, and common rafters. I had materials left over from another project, and used this building as a chance to do more hand-hewing and chainsaw milling and to provide more sheltered work space at home. Rafters are from Northland Wood. Rough-sawn sheathing was cut by Pioneer Sawmill LLC from salvaged logs. One of the best things about timber framing is getting your friends to help raise the frame.
